CHICAGO — Despite strict parking restrictions for the World Series and high fees for parking lots, just 20 cars were towed in Wrigleyville and Lakeview Friday.

Parking was extremely limited in the four-block radius around Wrigley Field, with restrictions in place noon Friday to 4 a.m. Monday. Fans were also facing high prices for parking in lots — up to $300 in some cases.

Despite that, only about 20 cars were towed from the area Friday, said Anne Sheahan, a spokeswoman for the Department of Streets and Sanitation.

"Area residents and fans have been generally amenable to the game day parking restrictions," Sheahan said in an email. "We ask for everyone's continued cooperation in the coming days as the city works to ensure crowds can celebrate safely."

The street closures means Divvy, which is offering "valet service" to riders in the area, has had to move its stations. Divvy's station at Sheffield Avenue and Addision Street will be closed through Monday, and the game-night Divvy Valet Service has been moved to the station at Wilton and Belmont avenues. Riders are guaranteed they'll have a spot there to dock Divvy bikes 3:30-8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
