South Shore Shooting Kills Tyrice Anderson, 30, Police Say

CHICAGO — A shooting in South Shore killed a man late Friday, police said.

At 11:59 p.m., officers responding to a call of a person shot and found the man in the street in the 7800 block of South South Shore Drive, police said.

The man had been shot in his head and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition, police said. He was later pronounced dead.

He has been identified as Tyrice Anderson, who lived in the same block where he was killed, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office. 

The man was a documented gang member, police sources said.

No one was in custody.
