CHICAGO — A shooting in West Humboldt Park wounded a 28-year-old man on Friday night, police said.

At 7:10 p.m., the man was in the 4300 block of West Potomac Avenue when he saw a man being chased by two people, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. One of the people fired shots, hitting the 28-year-old man.

The man was shot in the lower part of his right leg and was taken to Norwegian American Hospital in good condition, Pacheco said.

Officers did not think the man was the intended target, police sources said.

No one was in custody.
