Brighton Park Shootings Wound 2 Men, Police Say

CHICAGO — Shootings left two people wounded in Brighton Park on Friday, police said.

• At 11:25 p.m., a 29-year-old man was standing in the street in the 3800 block of South Kedzie Avenue when someone in a silver-colored sedan fired shot at him, police said.

The man was hit in his right leg and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

The man was a documented gang member, police sources said.

• At 10:14 p.m., a 19-year-old man was getting into a car in the 4000 block of South Sacramento Avenue when he heard shots and felt pain, police said.

The man was hit in his right arm and leg and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

The man was a documented gang member, police sources said.

No one was in custody.
