Brian Fields, Chiquita Ford Killed In Back Of The Yards Parking Lot

CHICAGO — A shooting in Back of the Yards killed a man and woman on Friday night, police said.

At 10:20 p.m., the man and woman were sitting in a car in the parking lot of a gas station in the 1900 block of West Garfield Boulevard when a man walked up to them and fired shots, police said.

The man, 30, was hit in his chest, and the woman, 30, was hit in the side of her body, police said. They were pronounced dead at 11:02 p.m. at the scene.

The man was identified as Brian Fields, of the 7200 block of South Wolcott Avenue, in Cook County Medical Examiner's Office records. The woman was Chiquita Ford, of suburban Westchester, according to the Medical Examiner's Office.

No one was in custody.
