CHICAGO — After restricting parking within a half-mile of Wrigley Field this weekend, the city has announced that Cubs parking restrictions will also hit River North and the Near North Side.

There will be virtually no parking on city streets within a four-block radius of Wrigley Field beginning noon Friday and lasting until 4 a.m. Monday. Any cars remaining on the streets will be towed, according to the city.

On Friday, the city announced a series of no-parking restrictions on a number of River North and Near North Side streets.

Between the hours of 5 p.m. and 6 a.m. from Friday through Wednesday, parking will not be allowed on:

♦ Webster Avenue from Sheffield Avenue to Bissell Street

♦ Lincoln Avenue from Webster Avenue to Fullerton Avenue

♦ Division Street From State Street to Dearborn Avenue

♦ Hubbard Street From State Street to LaSalle Street

♦ Wells Street From North Avenue to Division Street

♦ Kinzie Avenue from State Street to Clark Street

A series of street closure notices were sent out by the city Thursday, many of which have been in place for all Cubs home games this postseason. On Friday, the city expanded some closures.

The new closures are:

♦ Clifton Avenue from Waveland Avenue to Grace Street

♦ Seminary Street from Waveland Avenue to Grace Street

♦ Kenmore Avenue from Waveland Avenue to Grace Street

♦ Seminary Street from Newport Avenue to Eddy Street

♦ Cornelia Avenue from Wilton Avenue to Sheffield Avenue

♦ Grace Street from Wilton Avenue to Clark Street

♦ Waveland Avenue from Wilton Avenue to Racine Avenue (previous closure was Clark to Racine)

"There is no doubt these restrictions are extreme," Ald. Tom Tunney (44th) previously said. "Check the signs, or you will be towed."

Previously announced parking restrictions include:

♦ Clark Street from School Street to Irving Park Road

♦ Sheffield Avenue from Roscoe Street to Irving Park Road

♦ Addison Street from Halsted Street to Southport Avenue

♦ Addison Street from Southport Avenue to Ashland Avenue — north side only

♦ Racine Avenue from Roscoe Street to Clark Street

♦ Patterson Avenue, Waveland Avenue, Eddy Street, Cornelia Avenue and Newport Avenue from Racine Avenue to Clark Street

♦ Grace Street and Waveland Avenue from Clark Street to Wilton Avenue

♦ Inner Lake Shore Drive from Belmont Avenue to Addison Street — east side only

If your car is towed, it will be taken to the auto pound at 701 N. Sacramento Ave. It will cost you $150 — plus a $20 storage fee per day up to five days in cash or by credit card — to get your car back, officials said.

Towed vehicles are listed on the city's website.
