
CHICAGO — A 41-year-old man was shot in the face while driving on Lake Shore Drive early Friday, police say, one of two people shot on city expressways within minutes of each other.
At 1:26 a.m., the man was found by officers inside his white conversion van in the 0-200 block of North Lake Shore Drive, police said.
He had been shot in the face and was taken to Northwestern Hospital in critical condition, police said.
No arrests have been made, police said.
About 10 minutes after that, at 1:35 a.m., a man told police he was shot on the Eisenhower Expy. westbound exit ramp to Kostner Avenue, according to the Chicago Tribune.
The man, whose age is unknown, was struck in his leg and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was treated and released, the Tribune said.
