CHICAGO — Four people were shot throughout the city since Friday morning, according to police.

At 2:15 p.m., a 21-year-old man was shot in Washington Heights, said Officer Thomas Sweeney, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The man was in the 9200 block of South Bishop Avenue when he was shot and brought to Little Company of Mary Hospital in unknown condition, Sweeney said. Police could not say where he was shot or his condition, citing preliminary information.

At 12:15 p.m., a 23-year-old man was shot in Roseland, Sweeney said.

The man was in the 200 block of East 115th Street when he was shot in the back, Sweeney said. The man managed to get himself to Roseland Community Hospital in serious condition, Sweeney said.

At 11:47 a.m., a 19-year-old man was seriously wounded in a Belmont Cragin shooting, Sweeney said.

The man had gotten into an argument in the 2400 block of North Kilpatrick Avenue when the other person shot at him, Sweeney said. He was struck in his head and was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital in serious condition, Sweeney said.

• At 11:30 a.m., a 29-year-old man was shot in West Englewood, Sweeney said.

He was in a parked car in the 6400 block of South Damen Avenue when a shooter appeared from a gangway and began firing before running back through the gangway, Sweeney said.

The man was struck in his chest, arms and back and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition, Sweeney said.
