CHICAGO — A shooting on the Eisenhower Expy. temporarily shut down the westbound lanes of the interstate Friday, according to state police.

At about 11:50 a.m., a person was shot on the westbound Eisenhower Expy. near Harlem Avenue, Illinois State Police said in a news release. The victim's age and sex were unknown, and they were taken to an area hospital in unknown condition.

The westbound lanes were shut down while police investigated the shooting, but had re-opened as of early Friday afternoon, according to state police.

Oak Park police remained at the scene.
