CHICAGO — A 14-year-old boy was wounded in an Austin shooting Thursday afternoon, according to police.
The boy was outside in the 200 block of South Lotus Avenue at 2:50 p.m. when someone walked up and began firing, said Officer Bari Lemmon, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.
He was struck in his right arm and right leg and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition, Lemmon said. The shooter then ran to a car and drove away, she said.
No arrests have been made.
