CHICAGO — A 23-year-old man was wounded in an Austin shooting Wednesday afternoon, police said.
The man was walking in the 5500 block of West Jackson Boulevard at about 12:45 p.m. when shots rang out, said Officer Bari Lemmon, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.
He was struck in his right leg and showed up at West Suburban Hospital, where he was listed in good condition, Lemmon said.
No further information was available, she said.
