Englewood Residents Warned After Series Of Armed Robberies

CHICAGO — Police are looking for a man who robbed several people at gunpoint in Englewood.

Police said the man approached people with a gun, robbed them and ran off.

The robberies occurred at the following times:

• 3:50 p.m. Oct. 6 in the 7300 block of South Lowe Avenue

• 7:45 a.m. Oct. 14 in the 6900 block of South Union Avenue

• 9:50 p.m. Oct. 16 in the 7000 block of South Parnell Avenue

• 7:26 a.m. Thursday in the 7100 block of South Normal Avenue

• 8:00 a.m. Friday in the 7000 block of South Eggleston Avenue

The robber was described as a black man between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-10, between 16 and 20 years old and weighing 140 to 160 pounds, police said. 

Anyone with information about the robber is is asked to call police at 312-747-8273.
