By Joe Ward | October 19, 2016 5:25pm

CHICAGO — A 28-year-old man was wounded in an East Garfield Park shooting early Wednesday, police said.

The man was in the 3200 block of West Madison Street at 9:20 a.m. when shots rang out from a passing red car, said Officer Thomas Sweeney, a Chicago Police spokesman.

He was grazed in the head, Sweeney said, and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was not released but police considered him to be stable.

The man is a documented gang member and is a convicted felon, a police source said.
