BACK OF THE YARDS — Alejandro Morales, 39, was shot dead in Back of the Yards on Wednesday, officials said.
At 7:23 p.m., the was in the 4400 block of South Paulina Avenue when he was shot in the torso, said Officer Michelle Tannehill, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. He was taken to UIC Hospital.
Morales, of the 4500 block of South Hermitage, was pronounced dead at 8:02 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. An autopsy showed he died of multiple gunshot wounds in a homicide.
