WICKER PARK — Toto jumping off the back of Miss Gulch's bike to avoid being euthanized? Elliott carrying E.T. in a basket and pedaling across the night sky?

A "Stranger Things"-inspired Nostalgic Movie Bicycle Party at Emporium Arcade Bar in Wicker Park is set for Oct. 29 at Wicker Park's Emporium Arcade Bar, with revelers encouraged to bike to the bar and come dressed as their favorite bike-riding movie characters.

The party at 1366 N. Milwaukee Ave. will raise funds and awareness for World Bicycle Relief, a global charity that brings bikes to folks in developing countries.

"Whatever your age, you can relive the fun of your youth," organizers say.

Tickets are a $15 donation minimum per person, which gets attendees tokens, goodies, and entry to the costume contest with prizes from Divvy Bikes, which will give away an annual membership ($99 value), Wormhole Coffee, TOMS shoes and more.

The first place winner in the costume contest will receive a custom made trophy made of recycled bike parts, courtesy of local manufacturer SRAM, which invented the grip shift.

The party runs from 2 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29. For more information, visit the Nostalgic Bicycle Party website.
