CHICAGO — Milwaukee's beloved spy-themed restaurant SafeHouse will open a second location Downtown, according to reports.
SafeHouse, which has had one restaurant in Milwaukee since 1966, will open its Chicago location in the AC Hotel, 60 E. Ontario St., according to Eater. Earlier this month, the restaurant said it would expand and its new location would "retain key features and props found at the original location" while also having "its own atmosphere," according to Milwaukee Business Journal.
Customers — called "agents" — have to get into the Milwaukee restaurant by going through a secret door or knowing the password at an unmarked alley entrance. Its food and decorations are spy-themed, with License to Kill macaroni and a Mission Impossible burger among the offerings.
The SafeHouse is celebrating its 50th anniversary this month.
