CHICAGO — A 25-year-old man was shot to death in North Lawndale on Thursday night, police said.
At 9:51 p.m., the man, identified as Aaron Jackson, was standing on the sidewalk in the 1500 block of South Komensky Avenue when someone in a dark-colored minivan fired shots at him, police said.
Jackson was hit in his abdomen and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, police said.
Jackson, of the 1300 block of South Lawndale Avenue, was pronounced dead at 11:28 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
No one was in custody.
