CHICAGO — Wednesday's storms could continue during your commute home.

The city was hit by rain showers and gray clouds Wednesday morning and afternoon, said AccuWeather meteorologist Dan Kottlowski. A rain shower or two could stick around until rush hour, but the clouds should start to break up tonight.

A cold front that will sweep through the city between 3 and 4 p.m. could dry things out, but it'll also cool the city down, Kottlowski said. Temperatures are expected to drop about 10 degrees and hit the 50s, Kottlowski said, and there will be "gusty winds."

The good news: Thursday's looking pretty nice, though it will be 10-12 degrees colder than it was today, Kottlowski said.

"Tomorrow will be a sunny and delightful day," Kottlowski said.
