CHICAGO — A 22-year-old man was killed and five others were wounded in Austin shootings since Sunday night, according to police.

Raheem Dismukes, 22, was one of two shot at around 9:08 p.m. Sunday, police said.

Dismukes and a 24-year-old man were in a car at a stop sign in the 1700 block of North Mayfield Avenue when a man on foot fired shots at them, police said in a report. Dismukes was struck in his face and back and was pronounced dead on the scene, police said.

Dismukes, of the 600 block of North Laramie Avenue, was pronounced dead at 10:06 p.m., and an autopsy showed he died of multiple gunshot wounds in a homicide, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

The 24-year-old was struck in his elbow and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition.

Most recently, at 9:56 p.m., two men were shot in the 5500 block of West North Avenue, police said.

Both men were shot in their shoulder and were taken to Loyola Hospital in fair condition, police said. Their ages or any other information was not immediately known.

At 7:15 p.m.,  a 23-year-old man and a 22-year-old man were shot in Austin.

The men were walking in the 5500 block of West Corcoran Place when shots rang out, police said.

The 23-year-old was struck in his head and was taken to West Suburban Hospital in good condition, police said. The 22-year-old was struck in his left leg and was also taken to West Suburban Hospital in good condition.

No arrests have been made.
