CHICAGO — An 11-year-old boy riding a bike caught on fire as other kids were burning books near a school Monday afternoon.
The boy was sent to Comer Children's Hospital because of burns to his leg outside Gresham Elementary School near 86th and Peoria streets at 3 p.m., according to Fire and Police department officials.
Witnesses told firefighters that "other kids were playing with lighters and some sort of accelerant."
