CHICAGO — A 38-year-old man was injured after he jumped in front of a Blue Line train early Thursday, police said.

At 2:21 a.m., the man jumped onto the tracks in the 1200 block of North Milwaukee Avenue, according to a witness, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was hit by a train and sustained multiple injuries, Pacheco said. Police removed him from the tracks and the man was taken to Northwestern Hospital in critical condition.
