Man In Illini Hoodie Robbing River North Stores, Police Say

RIVER NORTH — A man in an Illini sweatshirt is holding up River North stores — and is considered armed and dangerous, police say.

The daytime robberies were reported:

•at 5 p.m. Sept. 23 in the 100 block of West Chestnut Street.

•at 11 a.m. Sept. 29 in the first block of West Hubbard Street.

•at 7:30 a.m. Sept. 30 in the 300 block of North State Street.

Police did not immediately have more details on the crimes. Anyone who sees the suspect in public is asked to call 911, and anyone with information on the suspect is asked to call police at (312) 747-8380.
