ROSELAND — Job seekers can learn interviewing skills, best practices when applying online and more at a free workshop Oct. 15.
The classes will be a collaborative effort between the Greater Roseland Chamber of Commerce, Chicago Cook Workforce Partnership and KRA Corporation. The Job Readiness Resource Fair on Oct. 15 will be held at Corliss High School, 821 E. 103rd St. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the event ends at 2 p.m.
Participants will learn:
How to write a resume
Interviewing skills
Applying for a job online
Dressing for success
Work ethics
Expungement information
Employment counselors will be available to offer feedback.
The following Saturday, Oct. 22, there will be a job fair. To be eligible to attend, participants must have completed at least two workshops the prior weekend. The job fair will be held in the same location from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
