
DOWNTOWN — A man is in custody after holding up a bank Tuesday morning near Millennium Park, according to police and the FBI.
The man was arrested shortly after allegedly robbing a Fifth Third branch at about 9 a.m. Tuesday, the FBI said. The man didn't show a weapon, but handed a bank teller a note demanding money, according to Officer Bari Lemmon, a Chicago police spokeswoman.
The amount taken was undisclosed.
Police arrested the man shortly after near 18th Street and Michigan Avenue, Lemmon said. Charges are pending.
