LOGAN SQUARE — Police are looking for a man believed to have robbed four stores at gunpoint on the Near Northwest Side since late August, according to a Saturday alert.

In each incident, a man walked into a "small grocery or liquor store" in Logan Square or West Town and pulled out a gun, demanding cash and bottles of liquor before running away.

In one case, the man "fire[d] several shots, not striking anyone," police said.

The robberies were reported at the following times and locations:

• 3:56 p.m. on Aug. 26 at 2222 N. Western Ave.

• 5 p.m. on Sept. 13 at 1900 N. California Ave.

• 8:35 p.m. on Sept. 20 at 2501 W. North Ave.

• 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 22 at 3048 W. Fullerton Ave.

Police described the suspect as a black man in his 20s, standing between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 150 to 175 pounds. He has been seen wearing a blue or white T-shirt, blue jeans, gym shoes and a black mask pulled over his face.
