Englewood Shootings Wound 3, Police Say

ENGLEWOOD — Two men and a teenage boy were shot in Englewood between noon and midnight Saturday, police said.

• Most recently, at 11:13 p.m., a 20-year-old man was found unconscious in an alley in the 6700 block of South Laflin Street, according to a police incident report.

The man was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition with gunshot wounds in his chest and back, police said. 

• At 9:50 p.m., a 22-year-old man was walking on the sidewalk in the 1700 block of West Marquette Road when he heard gunshots and felt pain, police said.

The man was brought to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was considered "stable" with a gunshot wound in his head, police said.

• At 12:36 p.m. Saturday afternoon, a 16-year-old boy was shot in his neck and face in the 6600 block of South Sangamon Street, according to Officer Hector Alfaro, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The boy was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was listed in serious condition, Alfaro said.

Police could not immediately provide any other information on the shooting.

No one was in custody, police said.
