
CHICAGO — A woman was killed in an incident on the Red Line Saturday morning, officials said.
At 7:40 a.m., a woman, thought to be in her 70s, was hit by a northbound Red Line train at the Addison platform, said Officer Bari Lemmon, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.
The woman was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital and was pronounced dead, Lemmon said.
The incident appeared to be a suicide, police said.
