5 Home Burglaries In Jefferson Park, Norwood Park Prompt Police Warning

JEFFERSON PARK — Five homes in Jefferson Park and Norwood Park have been burglarized during the day and early evening hours in recent weeks, police warned Saturday.

In several of the burglaries, the thief entered homes and apartments through windows or doors, while in others they used a ruse to gain entry to the home and take cash, electronics and jewelry, police said.

The incidents happened:

• Between 9 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Sept. 8 in the 5700 block of West Wilson Avenue

• At 4:54 p.m. Sept. 17 in the 5300 block of North Mulligan Avenue

• Between 2 and 9 a.m. Sept. 21 in the 6100 block of North Higgins Avenue

• Between 12:54 p.m. and 1:35 p.m. Friday in the 6300 block of North Bryn Mawr Avenue

• At 1:30 p.m. Friday in the 5100 block of North Monitor Avenue
