Brighton Park Shooting Wounds Man, 20, Police Say

CHICAGO — A shooting in Brighton Park left a 20-year-old man wounded early Thursday, police said.

At 4:23 a.m., the man was sitting in a parked car in the 3000 block of West 39th Street when a car pulled next to him and someone inside fired shots, police said.

The man was hit in his arm and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was in good condition, police said. The shooter drove away.

The man was a documented gang member, police said.

No one was in custody Thursday.
