CHICAGO — A 27-year-old suburban man died from a gunshot wound he suffered in Englewood on Saturday, according to authorities.
At 2:24 a.m. Saturday, Alvonta Pinex was shot in Englewood, police said. The man was in the 7200 block of South Aberdeen Street when he was shot in his torso.
He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in serious condition, police said.
Pinex, of suburban Riverdale, died at Christ Hospital at 5:39 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office, which identified Pinex Wednesday.
