Reginald Fleming Jr., 18, Killed In West Pullman Shooting, Officials Say

CHICAGO — A shooting in West Pullman left Reginald Fleming Jr., 18, dead on Monday, police said.

At 4:30 p.m., Fleming was walking through a vacant lot in the 12000 block of South Prairie Avenue when a dark-colored sedan drove by and someone in the passenger's side of the car fired shots, said Officer Laura Amezaga, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

Fleming was hit in his head and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition, Amezaga said. Fleming, of Lansing, was pronounced dead at 7:51 p.m., according to Cook County Medical Examiner's Office records.

No one was in custody.
