CHICAGO — A man shot in Rogers Park early Tuesday has died, officials said.
The man was identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner's office as 26-year-old Jevon O'Brien of the 7700 block of North Paulina Street, just down the block from where he was shot and fatally injured.
At 4:05 a.m., O'Brien in the 1500 block of West Jonquil Terrace when he was shot in his head, police said.
The man's friends took him to St. Francis Hospital, where first he was in critical condition but later passed away. He was pronounced dead at 5:50 a.m.
No one was in custody.
Witnesses were uncooperative and no further information was immediately available, according to police.
