CHICAGO — A 28-year-old man was shot while driving on Interstate 57 early Friday, police said.
At 4:45 a.m., the man was driving on I-57 north of Halsted Street when someone in a black Jeep fired shots, according to a State Police news release. The man was hit in his lower left leg and was taken to Roseland Community Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
The two right lanes of I-57 and the Halsted Street ramp were closed after the shooting but later reopened, police said.
