Beverly, Morgan Park Armed Robberies And Home Invasions Prompt Police Alert

CHICAGO — Authorities are looking for a man who robbed several Beverly and Morgan Park residents at gunpoint in their homes, according to a Chicago Police alert.

Police said the man has entered several homes armed with a gun and, when confronted by the homeowners, robbed them.

The robberies occurred:

• 3:35 p.m. Sept. 13 in the 10200 block of South Leavitt Street

• 9:30 a.m. Thursday in the 9000 block of South Leavitt Street

• 9:45 p.m. Thursday in the 10600 block of South Talman Avenue

• 9:56 p.m. Thursday in the 2000 block of West 108th Place

The robber was described as a 5-foot-9 black man ages 30-35 with short hair and a mustache and weighing 175 pounds, police said. He was driving a white van.

Anyone with information about the robber is is asked to call police at 312-747-8273.
