BRIDGEPORT — Neighborhood folks with any noise complaints or concerns about Chicago Helicopter Experience will soon have a chance to share them with the man who runs the business.

Trevor Heffernan, a former hog trader and the company’s founder and executive director, will host a community forum at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the heliport, 2420 S. Halsted St.

The forum will allow locals ask questions and discuss how the heliport is operated.

In 2014, when Heffernan introduced the plan to build the heliport in Bridgeport, residents met him with mixed reactions. From the start, locals were concerned about helicopter noises and safety.

Some residents said the helicopter noise at times makes their lives unbearable.

The community meeting will give residents a chance to share those concerns.
