WEST PULLMAN — Two men died after shooting at each other on the Far South Side early Wednesday morning, police said.

At 12:41 a.m., a 34-year-old man was sitting in a car in the 12300 block of South Halsted Street when he "became involved in a shooting" with a 28-year-old man standing in the street, according to a police incident report.

Officers later found the 34-year-old man in the 700 block of East 111th Street, police said.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office identified the man as Miguel Williams, of the 7700 block of South Greenwood Avenue.

The 28-year-old man was identified as Donald Carter Brunson, of suburban Elk Grove Village.

Williams had been shot in his head, and Brunson was shot in his chest, police said. Both men were pronounced dead on the scene.
