WEST RIDGE — Officials have identified the woman whose body was found in a West Ridge alley last week as 50-year-old Evanston resident Juanita Arreguin.

Arreguin, of the 700 block of Oakton Street in Evanston, was pronounced dead by the Cook County Medical Examiner at 1:21 p.m. in the alley of the 6100 block of North Maplewood Avenue on Chicago's Far North Side.

According to ABC 7, Arreguin's body was discovered lying face down by a neighbor leaving through her garage.

A week later, police and the Medical Examiner said they have no new information regarding the cause or manner of Arreguin's death, but are continuing to investigate.

Arreguin worked as a housekeeper several days a week for a home in Lincoln Park over the last two years, her employer said, and was considered "like a part of the family" to her and others she worked with.

Arreguin's employer described her as a happy, dependable, hard-working woman who was also a mother herself.
