RIVERDALE — Two men were shot, one fatally, on the Far Southeast Side late Monday morning, police said.
At 11:40 a.m., the men, ages 26 and 20, were arguing with another man in the 13100 block of South Langley Avenue when the man pulled out a gun and shot at them before running away, according to Officer Kevin Quaid, a Chicago Police spokesman.
The older man was pronounced dead on the scene, with multiple gunshot wounds in his chest and side, Quaid said.
The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office identified the man as Maurice McKnight, of the 3700 block of South Wells Street.
The other man went to the 13100 block of South St. Lawrence Avenue and called police after being shot in his upper chest and left arm, Quaid said. He was brought to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was considered "stable."
No one was in custody, police said.
