Burglar Kicked In Garage Doors Near Oriole Park, Police Say

NORWOOD PARK — Four garages in Norwood Park have been burglarized during the last week by someone who kicked down or pried open side doors, police warned Monday.

All of the burglaries happened near Oriole Park, 5430 N. Olcott Ave., and two occurred on the same block, police said.

The burglar took construction tools, air compressors, lawn equipment, fishing equipment and cash, police said.

Police said the burglaries took place:

• Between 10 p.m. Sept. 12 and 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 7770 block of west Olive Avenue

• Between 8:30 p.m. Sept. 12 and 8 a.m. Tuesday in the 5600 block of north Ozark Avenue

• Between midnight and noon Tuesday in the 5600 block of north Ozark Avenue

• Between midnight and 8:45 a.m. Sunday in the 7800 block of west Gregory Street.
