AUSTIN — A 54-year-old man was shot to death in Austin on Sept. 15, police said.
At 9:20 p.m., officers responded to a call of a person shot in the 5600 block of West Chicago Avenue, where they found the man lying in the street with gunshot wounds in his chest, according to a police incident report.
The man was brought to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, police said. He was later pronounced dead.
The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office identified the man as Ahmad Morgan, of the 5900 block of West Superior Street.
No one is in custody, police said.
