STREETERVILLE — A new art deco residential tower in Streeterville is still under construction, but several units at the project known as One Bennett Park are already on the market.

Six units in building at 451 E. Grand Ave. were listed Thursday, with prices ranging from  $2.3 million to $6.2 million, said Tricia Van Horn, a spokeswoman for Related Midwest, the developer behind the project.

One Bennett Park will include 280 apartments as well as 69 luxury condominiums, Van Horn said.

Construction has begun and the building will be completed in 2018. The condos will be move-in ready in late 2018 and will continue into 2019.

The remaining condos will be listed between $2 million and $15 million, which is the asking price for the 7,500-square-foot penthouse.

The average condo size is 3,200 square feet, Van Horn said.

Designed by New York-based Robert A.M. Stern Architects, the tower will be among the tallest in Streeterville and narrowly outside the top 10 in the city.

The 67-story tower will be the tallest residential-only building in the city, Van Horn said.

The construction project includes a new park that will be adjacent to the tower. The 1.7-acre park — designed by the creator of Maggie Daley Park and the 606 Trail — will include a playground, two dog runs, a lawn bowl for gatherings and a quiet shade grove.

Tower residents will have a private entrance to the park, Van Horn said.

The project will add to the swarm of construction cranes Downtown, where a record number of apartments are being built this year and next.

Related, which also owns the former Chicago Spire site at 400 N. Lake Shore Drive, will begin planting temporary landscaping, including trees and berms, in an attempt to beautify the long-neglected Spire property. The landscaping would not affect any future development at the site, Van Horn said.
