HUMBOLDT PARK — A 23-year-old man was shot in his leg while riding his bike in Humboldt Park Tuesday morning, police said.

At 10:30 a.m., the man was riding on the sidewalk in the 800 block of North Monticello Avenue when he heard gunshots and felt pain, according to Officer Michelle Tannehill, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, Tannehill said. Police could not provide his condition but said he was "stable."

No one is in custody, police said.
