Burglar Kicking In Garage Doors In Dunning, Police Say

DUNNING — Five garages have been burglarized in the last 10 days by someone who kicked down or pried open side doors, police warned Wednesday.

The burglar took construction tools, bicycles, lawn equipment, air compressors and battery chargers, police said.

Two of the burglaries took place two blocks apart at roughly the same time on the same night.

Police said the burglaries took place:

• At 9:30 a.m. Sept. 4 in the 3700 block of north Olcott Avenue

• Between 11 a.m. Sept. 3 and 11 p.m. Sept. 5 in the 3400 block of north Ottawa Avenue

• At 3:30 a.m. Friday in the 3700 block of north Pittsburgh Avenue

• At 3:30 a.m. Friday in the 3700 block of north Plainfield Avenue

• Between 12:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the 8300 block of west Forest Preserve Drive.
