CHICAGO — Wondering about playoff tickets?

Fans can register online for a chance to buy National League Division Series. Registration is available until noon Sept. 21.

Some of those who register will be randomly selected and will have a chance to buy tickets on a first-come, first-served basis. They will be notified via email if they are picked to buy tickets. Dates and pricing will be announced after Sept. 21.

More than 1 million people signed up for the drawing last year, according to the Cubs. The Cubs made it to the National League Championship Series, where they were swept by the New York Mets.

"With so much excitement surrounding this year’s team, demand will certainly exceed the limited number of tickets we have available for postseason play at Wrigley Field,” said Colin Faulkner, Cubs senior vice president of sales and marketing “Like last year, we once again wanted to provide a fair process to give access to these tickets.”

The Cubs and Wrigley Field are 95 percent owned by an entity controlled by a trust established for the benefit of the family of Joe Ricketts, owner and CEO of DNAinfo.com. Joe Ricketts has no direct involvement in the management of the iconic team.
