North Lawndale Shooting Kills Marqui Williams, 17, Police Say

NORTH LAWNDALE — A 17-year-old died after he was shot three times in North Lawndale Tuesday night, police said.

At 10:09 p.m., the teen was walking in the 3300 block of West Douglas Boulevard when a man walked up and shot at him, police said.

The teen was brought to Mount SInai Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition with gunshot wounds in his chest, right arm and face, police said. He was later pronounced dead.

He has been identified as Marqui Williams of the 4900 block of West Gladys Avenue, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

No one is in custody, police said.
