ENGLEWOOD — Two men died after being shot in Ogden Park in West Englewood Monday evening, police said.
At 7:15 p.m., 47-year-old Paul Hamilton was walking his dog in the park, 1200 W. Marquette Ave., when he heard gunshots and felt pain in his chest, said Officer Kevin Quaid, a Chicago Police spokesman.
Hamilton, of the 6600 block of South Loomis, was pronounced dead at 8:01 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. An autopsy showed he died of a gunshot wound in his chest in a homicide.
Devon Reavley, 24, heard gunshots and tried to run before he was shot, Quaid said. Reavley, of the 9600 block of South Calumet Avenue, was pronounced dead at 8:40 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office. An autopsy showed he died of a gunshot wound in his chest in a homicide.
No one was in custody, Quaid said.
