UPTOWN — A 25-year-old man and a 17-year-old were hurt in an apparent drive-by shooting in Uptown Saturday evening, police said.

At 8:20 p.m., the 25-year-old was shot in his back and the 17-year-old was also shot in his back in the 4900 block of North Kenmore Avenue, according to Officer Veejay Zala, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The pair walked into Weiss Hospital, Zala said. Police could not provide their condition but said they were "stable."

Police said both people are documented gang members.

No one is in custody, Zala said.
