CHICAGO — A man crashed his car after being shot in Humboldt Park, leaving him and others wounded, police said.
At 9:20 p.m., the man was driving in the 1000 block of North Monticello Avenue when someone in a dark-colored Cadillac SUV fired shots at the man and then rammed his car, police said. The victim's car spun out and hit a Chevy Equinox and a Dodge van.
The man was shot in his abdomen and was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, police said.
Several people who had been injured in the car crash were taken to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
No one was in custody.
