West Englewood Shooting Wounds Man, 20, Police Say

CHICAGO — A shooting in West Englewood left a 20-year-old man wounded early Saturday, police said.

At 2:20 a.m., the man was standing on the street in the 5600 block of South Marshfield Avenue when someone in a passing white Pontiac fired shots at him, police said.

The man was hit in his left hand and was taken to Holy Cross Hospital, where he was in good condition, police said.

The man was a documented gang member, police said.

No one was in custody.
