WICKER PARK — Cast members from NBC’s “Chicago P.D.,” “Chicago Fire” and “Chicago Med” are headed to Wicker Park's Chop Shop on Sept. 10 to raise money for a new nonprofit group focused on combating gun violence in the city and suburbs.

“Chicago P.D." star LaRoyce Hawkins will host the fundraiser, which was organized by Patricia Frontain, founder of Patrick Lives On, a nonprofit group created in memory of her son, Patrick Boswell, who lost his life to gun violence in January 2015.

Patrick was 14 at the time of his death, and the gathering in the Chop Shop's 1st Ward Events, 2033 W. North Ave., will take place on what would have been his 16th birthday.

“I am humbled by the generosity of the actors and all those who have donated to the event,” said Frontain, who is also a script supervisor for "Chicago P.D."

Frontain, who lives in Des Plaines with her husband and daughter, said gun violence can "directly affect anyone at any time, no matter what neighborhood you call home."

In addition to Hawkins, the evening will include performances by various local actors who will improvise, sing and dance, Frontain said.

Patrick Lives On aims to increase awareness and education through the production of anti-gun violence Public Service Announcements and Educational Outreach Programs, according to its website.

The fundraising event starts at 8 p.m. on Sept. 10. and the performances begin at 9:30 p.m. Guests will enjoy appetizers and beverages from local restaurants, plus a silent auction and raffle. Tickets range between $100 - $200 and can be bought online on the Patrick Lives On website under the "events" tab.
